Context and challenges:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taiwan’s Ministry of Culture has launched a project called \u00ab\u00a0C Lab\u00a0\u00bb in Taipei, aimed at creating a new ecosystem of cultural and social innovation and experimentation, within the former Air Force headquarters. In this context, IRCAM was asked in 2018 by the Taiwanese Ministry of Culture to contribute its expertise in this field to the creation of this audio-visual laboratory via exchange visits and a report of recommendations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our role:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beaux Arts Consulting helped IRCAM define the program for this site and formulate strategic and governance recommendations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Assessment of the challenges facing the C-Lab and the local context,<\/li>
  • Definition of a cultural project and implementation schedule for a center dedicated to creation and new technologies, inspired by the IRCAM model,<\/li>
  • Proposals for event formats and mediation actions enabling a dialogue between art, science and technology.<\/li>
  • Organizational recommendations and support in building the team,<\/li>
  • Support for the creation of a laboratory for scientific research and technological development at the service of artistic creation,<\/li>
  • Support for professional training of cultural operators, technicians and artists,<\/li>
  • Definition of the center’s operating methods, both in-house and via partnerships, including collaborative relations with IRCAM.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Impact and follow-up:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Beaux Arts Consulting’s initial support in 2018-2019 enabled us to formulate strategic recommendations based on a diagnosis of the existing situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
