Client : Territoire de Belfort
2024
Diagnostic, inspiration & programmation
Context and challenges :
The Territoire de Belfort wishes to initiate an ambitious, sustainable and virtuous development project on the Presqu’île du Malsaucy, the host site of the Eurockéennes (Malsaucy peninsula).
Beaux Arts Consulting is working alongside town-planning architects to design the evolution of this site, from a venue for an event with extremely marked, one-off repercussions, to a site that can be enjoyed all year round, and where the musical experience can also be enjoyed all year round. The challenge is to think of a new appeal for the Malsaucy, one that is less one-off and more rooted in the practices and experiences of its inhabitants.
Our role :
Beaux Arts Consulting assists the department and other stakeholders in conceiving the project’s narrative, and in defining the elements needed to make it a reality, notably through interventions in diffuse, light-weight developments, in natural or leisure spaces, through works or devices that move or challenge users and involve them.
- Analysis of the project’s cultural, territorial and tourist context ;
- Diagnosis of the Malsaucy site: existing programming, audiences, key issues for various stakeholders ;
- Review of examples of cultural and participatory initiatives in rural areas (music, art in the public space, etc.) ;
- Programmatic outlines with possible project types.
Impact and follow-up :
This mission will result in the delivery of a document summarizing the positioning of the site and its main operating principles, and defining a five-year roadmap for the project. A memorandum of intent aimed at public authorities and potential partners will also be delivered.
